Projects

Here at Mike Schmidt General Contractor, we have two sides to our company. The remodel side and the Ground up build/Addition side.

REMODELS

The remodel side does everything from a small handyman job to full remodels over $100,000.  Smaller projects in this category would be jobs wanting a quick spruce up. For example, paint and flooring, strapping water heaters, bringing a property up to Title 24 code, minor landscape, fences, decks, crown molding and partial bathroom remodels are just a few. These spruce ups are popular with realtors and customers that have a restricted budget; they want the "bang for the buck.” Although their budget may be restricted, all customers are treated the same. Every job will be completed on time and within budget. That is the right way to do things and the only way we know how to do them.

Larger projects in this category differ from the smaller projects because most projects of this size require the office staff to get involved. We provide design assistance, an active project manager, and a foreman or owner will also be on your site at all times during project hours. At this level, sub-contractors are also often used and all have worked for our company for years. We are licensed, bonded and insured so all workers will be covered during your project. Larger projects would include kitchens/baths, landscape, whole house remodels, commercial buildings, tenant improvements, and whatever else you can dream up.

GROUND-UP BUILDS / ADDITIONS

The Ground Up builds/Additions side of our company is where we really tend to shine. Mike, the project manager, and the foreman all work so well together it usually seems like the project runs too smoothly. Once our architect has finished the plan, Mike will study them so thoroughly that he doesn't miss even the smallest detail. Pre-project meetings with the rest of the staff ensure that all parties are fully informed and ready for another seamless project. In order to speed up the process, this is where Mike also uses his inspection background to avoid unnecessary delays from inspectors by avoiding failed inspections.
